The Gardner Museum Heist, 36 Years Later 🖼️
The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum theft remains the largest unsolved art heist in history, with 13 priceless works still missing more than three decades later.
It’s been thirty-six years, and the world’s biggest art heist is still unsolved. In the early hours of March 18, 1990, two men disguised as Boston police officers charmed their way into the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and walked out with 13 masterpieces worth over $1 billion.
Among the missing works are paintings by Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Édouard Manet, and drawings by Edgar Degas. The thieves spent a total of 81 minutes inside the museum, which is quite a long time for a heist, and the empty frames still hang on the walls today as a permanent reminder that the works remain missing.
Now, the former FBI investigator, Geoffrey Kelly, worked the case for more than two decades and released a new book arguing the robbery was carried out by a Boston mob crew, several of whom were later murdered. The FBI says they know who did it, but still the question remains: where are the paintings? Kelly believes they’re probably still out there, hiding in an attic, basement, or tucked away in a storage unit, waiting for someone’s grandkid to clean out the house and discover they’ve inherited a billion-dollar art mystery.
The Van Gogh Museum Just Bought Its Third Painting by a Woman 🌻
The Van Gogh Museum recently acquired L’homme est en mer by Virginie Demont-Breton—a painting once admired and copied by Vincent van Gogh.
The Van Gogh Museum just made a quiet but historic purchase, acquiring L’homme est en mer (1887–88) by French painter Virginie Demont-Breton. The scene depicts a woman holding an infant and waiting for a man to return home. The painting purchased with public acquisition funds has been tucked away in a private collection for the past two decades.

This acquisition makes Demont-Breton’s work only the third painting by a woman artist in the museum’s entire collection. Vincent van Gogh was an admirer of the painting himself after seeing it reproduced in a magazine, and was so moved that he copied it.
Virginie Demont-Breton, the daughter of the painter Jules Breton, was known for her emotionally direct depictions of family life and accomplished her earliest paintings at the age of 14. The raw, unsentimental depiction of motherhood is likely what drew van Gogh to the piece.
Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert Call a Truce 💿
After years of rumored tension, country stars Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert have reunited for a tongue-in-cheek duet called “Horses and Divorces.”
Country music’s former frenemies are officially back in the studio. Kacey Musgraves recently revealed that she teamed up with Miranda Lambert for a duet called “Horses and Divorces” on her upcoming album, ‘Middle of Nowhere’, releasing on May 1.
The collaboration surprised fans because the two singers were rumored to have been at odds for years. But Musgraves said the idea started when she jokingly messaged Lambert after seeing an Instagram post about horses, pointing out that the two had “at least two things in common—horses and divorces”—and suggesting they turn it into a song.
Before writing the track, the pair reportedly cleared the air about any past issues and ended up laughing through the process, finishing the song in just a few hours.
Musgraves also reflected on an earlier awkward moment in their careers: she co-wrote “Mama’s Broken Heart,” which was later recorded by Lambert without Musgraves originally planning it that way. While that initially forced Musgraves to rethink her own debut single, it ultimately led her to release “Merry Go ’Round,” the song that helped launch her career, making the new duet feel like a slightly ironic, full-circle moment.
Miley Cyrus Returns to Hannah Montana for the 20th Anniversary 🎵
In a new anniversary special, Miley Cyrus revisits the world of Hannah Montana, reflecting on the show that launched her career
For the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special, Miley Cyrus took a trip back to the Disney Channel era that launched her career—minus the wig, but very much in the spirit of Hannah.
The special opens with Cyrus pulling onto the lot in a Mustang with an “HM 20” license plate before stepping on stage to sing the show’s iconic theme. She later sits down with podcaster Alex Cooper to talk about how the series—created by Disney executive Gary Marsh—turned a fictional pop star into a real one almost overnight.
The reunion mixes performances, old set visits, and appearances from friends and former co-stars, including a cameo from Selena Gomez and praise from rising star Chappell Roan, who told Cyrus the show helped pave the way for artists like her. Cyrus says the whole thing is really about the fans who grew up alongside her—and about finally embracing both sides of the persona that defined her teens. As she puts it, the special is her way of bringing Hannah and Miley back together after spending years figuring out where one ended, and the other began.
The Next Chapter of ACOTAR Is Coming 📚
Sarah J. Maas revealed on Call Her Daddy that the next installment of her blockbuster A Court of Thorns and Roses series will arrive in October 2026
Fantasy readers finally got the update they’ve been begging for. After years of relative silence, Sarah J. Maas appeared on Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper and dropped the biggest news yet about the future of her blockbuster A Court of Thorns and Roses series.
The long-awaited sixth book will arrive on October 27, 2026, ending a five-year drought since A Court of Silver Flames. But the real twist is that the story is too massive for one book—so Maas is splitting it into multiple releases, with another volume arriving in January 2027 and a final installment planned afterward.
Beyond the release news, Maas confirmed she currently holds all adaptation rights to her books, meaning any future film or TV version will happen on her terms. She stayed tight-lipped about the plot but teased enough crumbs to send readers into theory mode about which characters might take center stage next. The nearly two-hour interview also covered everything from the music she writes to (apparently the Batman soundtrack) to fan-favorite romantic moments—essentially sending the BookTok and fantasy-reader universe into full detective mode until the new books finally arrive.
Disney’s Tangled Remake Adds Kathryn Hahn ❤️🩹
Kathryn Hahn will play Mother Gothel in Disney’s live-action “Tangled”, joining Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider.
Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Tangled has officially found its villain. Kathryn Hahn revealed she’ll play the delightfully wicked Mother Gothel, confirming months of fan speculation after rumors she would portray the iconic witch. Hahn announced the casting in a playful Instagram video wearing a Mother Gothel T-shirt, which was later shared by Walt Disney Studios.
The remake will also star Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, with Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman) directing. The film is still in pre-production with no release date yet, but it joins Disney’s ongoing wave of live-action remakes of animated classics.
